Finally managed to catch an eagle live!
08:17 - Flew into nest bowl.
Only stayed a couple minutes. While I very much appreciate all the videos, it is still a thrill to watch an eagle fly in while I am at the computer.
Looks like another nest rocking, windy day.

Have any changes been made to the setting or something else?

10/31 7:50amFun to watch the arrival of the new stick this morning a bit after 7. If only we could know what goes thru their little brains as the stick moves from here to there, a little to the left, no the other way....try it over on this side, no, back on the other side is better. So there it sits, to the left of the Y branch, waiting to be woven.

Is it just me, or does it seem like mourning doves are all over the nest this fall? More and more I'm seeing 2 and more at a time all in and around the nest...I wonder if it's for food or little sticks, or curiosity?

Dad Fights with stick
Hi Everyone, I haven't posted any videos in a while and I am happy to see the eagles visiting and working on the nest! I managed to capture the visit this morning (October 31) by the male from 7:20 a.m. to 7:29 a.m.
The video lasts about 7 minutes and shows Dad working hard on restoring the nest! :-)
You can view in WMP:

I am sorry to hear that some are having trouble accessing the webcam. I can't say that I can solve the problem for you. Sometimes content gets blocked by internet security programs (Norton and others) so checking those might be good. Also, it is worth attempting to use a different web browser (explorer, foxfire, safari)and/or movie player (windows media player, quicktime player). I will look into it but these are perhaps good places to start. Good Luck.
All the Best,
Patrick Keenan

TROUBLE WATCHING THE NEST?
You can always go to
http://briloon.org/
Then on the left it has the link to "watch the eagles. Click that.
This has the 15 second nest update.
Next under that update picture, and left of the SUPPORT button, is a button saying "WATCH LIVE".
Click that, another browser window should open and there's the live nest!
Good luck and happy hope you see the eagles!

Just after 7:00 am this morning I finally see a eagle live in the nest. It really made my day.
I too was having a problem with the cam the last week or so. What I found is that I couldn't use the cam at the nwf.org web site. But was able to use it at the briloon.org. Hope this will help those who are having problems.

Busy morning at the nest, so I'll put the videos up here now - they should be back.
Dad made a long visit very early, Mom shouted at him (off cam) and he finally left.
Mom later flew into the nest waiting for Dad to deliver the prey:

So wonderful to see eagles on the nest with seemingly more frequency; I feel like I can see them now almost any morning. Today a quick visit around 6 then a feeding frenzy around 7. The bird with food promptly tunred its back to the other and began eating - survival of the fittest. Yesterday they were there around the same time .
I know I can look back in the blogs to see if increased activity began around this time last year, but I thought I'd ask first to see if anyone keeps charts on such things. I also wonder if there are many new birds in the area looking for nests so our guys need to keep a close watch on their territory. I know you spoke recently about territory Patrick, it's gotta be a full time job.
Hurray for America today, the dawn of a new day!

Raining here in Maine today
10/6 3pm
Checked in around 2:15 to see both eagles on the nest, hanging out in the rain, walking about the nest picking at this & that. One went to the back left and started working on a twig near where the big limb was cut; he twisted it and pulled it with wings outstretched for better leverage but it wouldn't budge. After a few minutes he gave up. I missed it fly off.
The other is still up on the Y branch, must be lovin' the rain.

I am glad to see the Eagles have been showing up more and staying for longer visits.
Thank you gg for the videos. I try not to put in the same videos if I know they have been posted. Yesterday Nov. 06, there was an Eagle visit in the A.M. VIDEO of 6AM visit. Then again both Eagles came into the nest at 2:10 and stayed for about an hour. It seemed to be a very nice, comfortable visit. I didn’t want to cut out part of the visit since it was such a serene visit so I made 4 Episode videos.
