First mating observed and recorded!

Hi all, I am happy to say that along with the restorations to the nest that we have observed we have also witnessed the first mating attempt of the season by these eagles. CLC a members of our online community has posted a video link of the mating attempt. Thanks CLC!

Obviously, this is a good sign of the season and of the birds intention to nest this year. Let's keep our fingers crossed for continued activity. Thanks for your posts and please keep up with your questions.

All the Best,

When you keep this site updated on a weekly basis again and keep adding postings from other viewers on this site is when I start giving again. I can't believe that there have not been postings from other viewers since this page was posted and yet there are no comments at all. I think you are missing a lot of good funding by not keeping postings current. As long as Wing was doing it we had constant comments added and a loyal following. I don't want to go to some other site to see the comments. Having them posted right on this site makes it easy for us to keep up to date. Ruth Blakney

Hi Ruth, thanks for your input. So far things are off to a good start this year. Hopefully, the birds will nest this year and we will have observations to post about. Please feel free to assist by offering your questions and comments for discussion.

Hi Ruth,
I didn't want to go the other site either when it first started up....I was so comfortable with the way it was, but I did give it a try & found it was much to my liking. I could read comments from only this eagle nest or I could enjoy other nests on BRI's site easily if I wanted to read those as well. Not only could I read the comments but pictures!!!Oh my word the pictures people share there of our eagles are fabulous. That was what was missing here for me - I love pictures. I still comment here as it was my first family but I so enjoy my new family over on the on-line community too - many from here are also there.
I hope you might give it try Ruth, I often start my day with a smile thanks to someone on the community. You will be welcomed I'm sure!

Hi Ruth,
I also was nervous about going over to the new web site but did so when it first started up.It is the first on line group I ever joined and very happy I did. On that site you can join just the group you want to follow. There is this eagle cam & one other along with a wonderful Osprey Cam & a Peregrine Falcon cam that is getting very active & about to start nesting soon. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, there is a lot of wonderful people there who will be more than glad to help including myself.

Enjoy & Have a Great Day
Thomas
