This Eagle Biologist Journal will be updated approximately once a week with an overview of what has happened in the last week and what we expect in the next couple of weeks. The Eagle Web cam is presented by BioDiversity Research Institute and made possible through the generous support of FPL Energy Maine Hydro, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, and US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Patrick, it sounds like you want to "get the cam up," keep the cam up, and learn with us from the cam.
With your title including EDUCATION and OUTREACH, you understand what a valuable tool the cam can be. Welcome to BRI and thanks for all you will be doing to help them...they are the best!
welcome Patrick!
Hello Patrick, Your enthusiasm for getting the Bald Eagle Cam up and running and keeping it online is appreciated more then you know by loyal cam viewers from around the globe. This cam is watched and documented extensively on a daily basis even when eagle sightings are sparse. We are most thankful for your efforts.
Hello Fellow Armchair Biologists, Its been a while since I have posted on this blog. Nancy in va, I whole heartedly agree with your post ... I'm looking forward to the upcoming nesting season realizing how much there is to be observed and shared with other armchair biologists along with Patrick's professional commentary. It should prove to be a most rewarding cam viewing and documentation experience.
Chris
This afternoon, around 2:50 EST I had the extreme pleasure of seeing the two beautiful bald eagles working on the nest.
When is the normal breeding season for eagles in Maine?
