This Eagle Biologist Journal will be updated approximately once a week with an overview of what has happened in the last week and what we expect in the next couple of weeks. The Eagle Web cam is presented by BioDiversity Research Institute and made possible through the generous support of FPL Energy Maine Hydro, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, and US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Welcome, Patrick!
Thanks for keeping us all informed about the cam. I look forward to reading your bio and hearing your insights about the eagles. You are working with a great organization and I wish you well.
Hi Patrick,
My comment left earlier didn't get posted ... will keep this one short ... Good Luck!
Appreciate the updates on the cam. Will be keeping fingers crossed that it can be fixed soon, especially since the weekend is coming up....Good luck!

Thank you again for the update yesterday Patrick.
Maybe one of all those cams that Kidsinthenest.com sent you could replace this one (if it is indeed broken). Hopefully before the eagles return.
They start returning to this nest as early as October. They seem to survey what's needed and visit a few times a week. Then Nov.-Jan., they become more intense.
We're still watching here.
I'm little late welcoming you Patrick, hope you can figure out what's with this cam. We sure miss it when it's down. :[ Hope it's a quick and inexpensive fix. Good luck and again a big WELCOME aboard. 9/14/08 9:51am EDT

Welcome Patrick...
Glad to hear you're joining us!
I'm another addicted observer, this will be my 4th year coming up. I'm praying Mom and Dad will have better luck this time around.
Wing and everyone at BRI has been very, very good to us and I thank you all. I'm happy you'll be helping!

Patrick,
Since it's now Monday afternoon, and still no cam up, I'm presuming it must be fairly serious. Hope it's back up before the eagles start their nest building activities.

Welcome Patrick!
I have been away for a while and just caught up with postings and info.
Thanks, again, Peggy for the great video postings ... they are always appreciated. Nice to read that eagles have been at the nest periodically. We are so lucky to have so many eyes and ears out there. Your comments are read with interest and appreciation.
Thanks to all ...

Thanks for the updates Patrick and welcome! This is by far the most beautiful nest I've seen, sure hope you can get the cam up soon so we can watch for the new nesting season to begin. Keep our fingers crossed this pair will have a productive season this coming year!!!

Patrick,
We would probably be less patient, although just as understanding, if this was February instead of September. We will hope for the best and thanks for today's update.
