Server Bogged Down

Hello all--

A quick note that our server is getting so many requests that it keeps slowing down. We are working hard to open up more band width and hope to have it cleared up this morning.

Also we are going to be transferring, probably tomorrow to a Real Player set up for the live video, so that we can have more band width and increased quality for the live video. This may require some of you to have to download for free a new video player, but it should make for better quality all around and should be better on Macs as well.

I will keep you updated.

Read the story today in the Bangor Daily. This is our second year watching and we are thrilled to have this privilege. These two beauties and their families are Stars! My two year old asks daily, "how are the eagles?"

A special extra thank you to the bloggers who keep us all informed with minute to minute information about "our" eagle family/babies.
And, as always, Wing and Bri--- you are the best. Thank you.

Judy's post was attached to the previous Biologist's Journal, so I am posting it here:

Around 12:10 p.m. March 7th the male eagle landed with a big heavy looking stick that seemed to almost land on the female's head. She had to protect the egg because he kept trying to move it over the nestbowl. Willpatt has a great video clip of the eagles and what he appropriately calls "the club".

Is it likely that the nesting pair is the same pair as last year?

Thanks, Wing. Watching the eagles
is thrilling. I was concerned
about that big stick, too. Judy B.

3/9/07 Are you still working on more band width? If I can get the camera view to come on, it keeps freezing so that of the 2 minutes we are allowed to watch, I only get about 20 seconds in total but broken up. It is disappointing as last year once we got the picture it stayed on for the 2 minutes.

I am in New York City and have found your site is the last few days.
I check in at least three times a day.
Sorry to be clogging up the network but I love these eagles and want to thank you.
