Winter Update

I have been reading your observations carefully over the last couple of weeks and have been pleased to see that both the adults have been visiting the nest. This is a good sign that they may attempt to nest again this year. Over the last two years the birds have laid their first egg on March 5th and 6th . In 2006 they spent a great deal of time bringing in sticks and working on the nest months before laying, but last year they focused on nest building only a couple of weeks before laying. Soon I will have the infrared light turned back on so that we have night vision.

Please keep posting your extremely helpful observations.
